About Elliot Howsie, Esquire

Hailed in 2006 as "Pittsburgh's own Johnnie Cochran" by Pittsburgh Magazine (see the full text of the article in the Media section of our Web site), Elliot Howsie, Esq. is a native of Pittsburgh's East End and a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He worked two jobs while earning his Juris Doctorate degree from Duquesne University School of Law.

After graduation, Howsie had the distinction of serving as Law Clerk to the Honorable Justin Johnson of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. There, Howsie honed his appellate writing skills composing memoranda of law for the state's second highest court.

He continued his public service as an Assistant District Attorney for Allegheny County, where he was quickly promoted to the Special Victims Unit. Howsie, literally handled thousands of criminal cases in his tenure as an ADA. Now in private practice, Howsie serves his clients with the personal attention and honest, straightforward communication that have become his hallmark.
